During a stirring address on Sunday at Naval Station Norfolk to sailors marking the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth delivered a message that cut sharply against the politically correct culture that has crept into America’s armed forces.
“You’re not civilians — you are different,” Hegseth told a cheering crowd of sailors, SEALs, and Marines. “Sailors, SEALs, Marines — you were set apart for a distinct purpose. Diversity is not your strength. Your strength is your unity of purpose, your shared mission, your love of country.”
The line drew a standing ovation — and is certain to spark criticism from the Left, which has spent years pushing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives into the ranks of the U.S. military. Hegseth’s remarks, however, signaled a sharp turn away from those priorities. Under his leadership, there are no hyphenated Americans in uniform — only Americans.
Hegseth praised the men and women of the Navy as the enduring symbol of American might and moral clarity on the seas.
“Generation after generation, battle after battle, sailor after sailor, you have set the tone,” he said. “Nobody — nobody in the world — does it better than the United States Navy.”
He reiterated the administration’s commitment to “peace through strength,” a guiding principle of American defense since the Reagan era, but a principle badly eroded during the woke years of the Biden Administration.
Hegseth kept his remarks brief, introducing the president, who followed him on stage.
“We have a president who appreciates your dedication,” Hegseth said. “He has your back.”
The anniversary ceremony celebrated 250 years since the founding of the Navy in 1775 — a legacy Hegseth described as “the shield of freedom that guards the gates of the free world.”
Hegseth’s entire remarks, just over three minutes:
Thank you for sharing this! We must do everything reasonable to sustain this in our country. Make it it so intolerable that ‘intolerant’ choose follow Rosie and Ellen across the pond.
Amen!
On another note because of all the American churches self segregating themselves by race and language
I’m not so sure when we all die if we will be taking our genetic racial background with us to heaven or hell.
Our Racial background is more of a Flesh physical characteristic.
What we do bring is how our soul lived, thought, and especially who was Jesus Christ. Was he our Lord or were we lord over our own life?
We’ll find out if my question on race if there are races in Heaven exist. We already know there are no religions in heaven. So I thought why would there be a racial backgrounds? So today the focus on diversity is really hurting us people and how much we can move forward if we are all divided up by race.
When any people are divide themselves by race and language instead of increasing their unity in purpose, focus, and mission we can’t move forward its impossible.
Amen!

They don’t look at their white skinned Christian co worker on the same team because of they don’t attend their church or from the same race or speak the same language
