At a high-level meeting of the nation’s top military leaders on Tuesday, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth unveiled a series of directives aimed at purging “woke garbage” from the military. The announcement came during an address to top admirals and generals at Marine Corps Base Quantico, where Hegseth outlined a plan to tighten physical fitness standards and overhaul policies related to diversity, leadership, and combat readiness.
“From this day forward everyone wearing the uniform will take the PT test twice a year, and pass height and weight requirements,” Hegseth told the assembled leaders. “No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses. No more climate change worship, no more division, distraction, or gender delusions. We are done with that s***. Standards must be met — it’s common sense and core to who we are and what we do.”
Hegseth said all service members, including the highest-ranking officers, will now be required to meet weight requirements and pass physical fitness tests twice annually to remain in the armed services. He described “being a fat soldier” as “unacceptable” and called out “fat” troops and generals directly.
In addition, Hegseth directed the services to review the definitions of “toxic leadership, bullying and hazing” to empower commanders to enforce standards “without fear of retribution.” He announced that all combat military occupational specialties (MOS) and combat arms positions would return “to the highest male standard only — because this job is life or death.”
“If women can make it, excellent! If not, it is what it is… if that means no women qualify for some combat jobs, so be it… it will also mean weak men won’t qualify,” he said. “I don’t want my son serving alongside troops who are out of shape or in combat units with females who can’t meet the same combat arms physical standards as men.”
Hegseth concluded his remarks with a prayer: “And most of all, Lord, please keep my soldiers safe. Lead them. Guide them. Protect them. Watch over them. And as you gave all of yourself for me, help me give all of myself for them. Amen.”
He also issued a stark warning to military leaders: “Prepare for war. Not because we want war. Because we want peace. The only people who deserve peace are those who are willing to wage war to defend it. That’s why pacifism is so naive and dangerous… either you protect your people and sovereignty or you will be subservient to something or SOMEONE.”
President Trump also addressed the gathering, echoing Hegseth’s emphasis on national security. “Defending our homeland is the military’s first and most important priority,” Trump said. “We are under invasion from within, and we are stopping it very quickly.”

Every recruit should be based on merit not by their skin color
The public do unconsciously question in their head after seeing a brown young solder “is he supposed to be in that uniform judged by merit or did the recruitment brought him on based on his skin color?”
Our military should be built on ability, capability, character, and merit.
I must have missed the part in Hegseth’s diatribe where he mentioned Duty, Honor, and Country.
How about returning to the World Wars philosophy? Put women into “support groups” just as our mothers, grand mothers and great grand mothers worked to support our troops.
