Charlie Kirk, the conservative founder and leader of Turning Point USA, was shot in the neck while speaking at a university campus in Utah. Update: President Donald Trump has announced that Kirk has passed.
The conservative commentator lost copious amounts of blood instantly, according to video reviewed by this author, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident erupted amid a student Q&A session, causing chaos. A suspect is in custody, and Kirk’s condition is serious, and his survival is uncertain. The bullet appeared to have hit a main artery.
The university issued a statement: “A single shot was fired on campus toward a visiting speaker. Police are investigating now, suspect in custody.”
On social media, President Donald Trump offered this: “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”
FBI Director Kash Patel wrote, “We are closely monitoring reports of the tragic shooting involving Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. Our thoughts are with Charlie, his loved ones, and everyone affected. Agents will be on the scene quickly and the FBI stands in full support of the ongoing response and investigation.”
In 2012, Kirk co-founded Turning Point USA while a college student. The organization aims to educate, train, and organize students to promote principles of fiscal responsibility, free markets, and limited government on high school and college campuses.
As executive director and chief fundraiser, Kirk secured backing and has expanded to over 3,500 campuses across all 50 states. He and his staff monitor leftwing bias among academics and school boards and he is a frequent speaker at campuses across the country.
Kirk is host of The Charlie Kirk Show, a three-hour daily syndicated radio program he launched in 2020 that now is one of the top 10 podcasts in America, with over 500,000 and 750,000 downloads daily. In February, he began hosting Charlie Kirk Today on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. He has authored books that include Time for a Turning Point (2016), Campus Battlefield(2018), and The MAGA Doctrine (2023).

This is what the left does. Demonize someone. Fill their hearts with hate. And kill them. They are evil. Quite justifying the behavior and call it what it is. Dark days.
I pray Charlie survives this brutal attack. I am certain that his work will now only be magnified, and I am grateful for that.
