The FBI on Thursday released surveillance photos of a person of interest connected to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University earlier this week.
The images show a figure dressed in dark clothing, wearing a hat and sunglasses. The photos are blurry, and officials have not confirmed the individual’s race, sex, or age.
Law enforcement officials said they recovered the rifle used in the attack on Wednesday, but the shooter remains at large. Investigators initially detained two individuals in separate incidents following the shooting. Both were later released after authorities determined they were not involved.
The shooting occurred during a campus event that drew hundreds of attendees. Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, died after a bullet struck an artery in his neck and he toppled over.
The FBI and Utah DPS are urging the public to assist in identifying the person of interest. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit digital media tips to the FBI’s online portal.

Answer to the question – I have no clue and don’t even want to try to guess. The gunman is a deeply troubled person who is definitely influenced by evil and confusion.
